It's about 14" x 16" (without the strap.) The pattern is from a book from Lily Sugar and Cream. But theirs was a too sweet cornflower and white with pink roses and a checkerboard pattern on the pocket. I've made them in lots of different colors and here I added initials. They are really great for shopping bags! Or project bags, or beach bags, or stuff to keep Julian from getting bored bags, or...I use them all the time. lol
